Why we’re here

Sunny Side is on a mission to make mental wellness accessible for minorities. We wish to provide culturally bound resources, destigmatize mental health, and build a stronger community that embraces mental wellness.

As Asians ourselves, mental health can be a complex topic to discuss with our families and may even be non-existent. Sometimes, it doesn't feel easy to be understood and heard.

Many Asian and BIPOC communities struggle with mental health. Through conversations with other individuals of color, we share experiencing similar mental health challenges. This inspired us to create Sunny Side, a mental health app that provides access to credible resources to learn more and tools to improve our mental health.

We built these tools to provide a safe place to express your thoughts. Our app features include the following:
